Diapering Essentials and Organizing Them in a Small Space

My favorite diapering essentials and how I keep them organized

I don't really have a "nursery" at my house, just a corner of my bedroom. So space is at a minimum. I change diapers in the crib--no space for a separate changing table! There are so many things on the market……did we have this many choices when our own children were born? My daughters were gifted several brands at their baby showers, and after trying them all, these are the ones we found most affordable and of great quality! (And yes, some of these items will be followed by affiliate links!)

First, diapers. I keep a pack of every size on hand now.....it seems that all of a sudden they are ready for the new size and it's always at a time I can't get out to the store. They were gifted several different brands at their baby showers, but we have landed on the Pampers Pure as our favorite. Target runs a deal sometimes where you can get a free gift card when you buy a certain amount of diapers/wipes, and so I take advantage of that deal. But you can also put them on Subscribe and Save with Amazon and never run out!

Wipes--again, Pampers Pure Aqua are what we like best. I buy in bulk and keep some in the car and in my Granna bag....I use them myself sometimes even! I do love having this Momcozy Baby Wipe Warmer- it even has a nightlight! Seems like one of those "extra" items that you don't really need, but those sweet newborns despise diaper changes, so why not make it a little less terrible?

Diaper Rash Creme- Bordreaux's Butt Paste is our pick, it's SUPER effective and goes on easily. And have you seen the little spatula that they have invented to apply the creme? Bumco Baby Bum Brush - BPA-Free Diaper Cream Spatula . I personally don't use it but my kids love it! We also keep this Aquaphor Baby Healing Ointment on hand as well. It's a little less thick and I use it as a protectant instead of a treatment. Also, we all have a jar of Tubby Todd All Over Ointment. It was actually the only thing that worked on the boys' baby acne!

Munchkin® Waterproof Changing Pad Liners- these are what I use to lay down in my crib-that-doubles-as-a-changing-table:) That way if there's a big mess, I am just throwing the liner in the wash and not having to change the whole crib sheet and maybe even the waterproof mattress pad! (Yes, that happened once, and so never again!)

I store my diapers/wipes/creams/lotions on the Amazon Basics 3-Tier Rolling Utility Cart beside the crib. I keep the Frida Baby Electric Nail Trimmer and the Frida Baby 3 in1 Rectal, Underarm, and Oral Thermometer and other random items here too, like this Tubby Todd Baby Shampoo and Body Wash and Everyday Lotion. I actually used to store my yarn on this cart before the babies came.......oh, the things we give up for grandkids:) If you are interested in a diaper caddy that hangs on the side of the crib, my friend has this one and likes it: Photoon Hanging Diaper Caddy.
