Items to have on hand for diapering, and organizing them in a small space!

After trying several brands, these are my favorite diapering suggestions, including how I organized them in the small set up I have in my bedroom.

There are so many things on the market……did we have this many choices when our own children were born? After buying several different brands, these are the ones I found most affordable and of great quality! (And yes, some of these items will be followed by affiliate links!)

First, diapers. I keep a pack of every size on hand now.....it seems that all of a sudden they are ready for the new size and it's always at a time I can't get out to the store. They were gifted several different brands at their baby showers, but we have landed on the Pampers Pure as our favorite. Target runs a deal sometimes where you can get a free gift card when you buy a certain amount of diapers/wipes, and so I take advantage of that deal. But you can also put them on Subscribe and Save with Amazon and never run out!

Wipes--again, Pampers Pure are what we like best. I buy in bulk and keep some in the car and in my Granna bag....I use them myself sometimes even! I do love a wipe warmer, too. Seems like one of those "extra" items that you don't really need, but those sweet newborns despise diaper changes, so why not make it a little less terrible? We love this one from Amazon.

Diaper Rash Creme- Bordeaux's Butt Paste is our pick, it's SUPER effective and goes on easily. And have you seen the little "spatulas" that they have invented to apply the creme? I personally don't use it but my kids love to use them. Here it is:

I store my diapers/wipes/creams/lotions on a three tiered cart beside the crib. I don't really have a "nursery" at my house, just a corner of my bedroom. So space is at a minimum. I keep the nail trimmer, the suction bulb, and other random items here too. I actually used to store my yarn on it before the babies came.......the things we give up for grandkids:)

Burp Cloths: I do love a good old fashioned cloth diaper (you can embroider them to make them prettier, of course:) and I think they are the most absorbent. Here are the ones I love:

Bottles: We are big fans of the Dr. Brown's line.....there are narrow ones and wide ones, so you may want to try them both to see which your little one latches onto best. And I love that they have preemie nipples (except in the wide bottles) to start with while they learn to bottle feed. Doesn't take them long to get the hang of it and move to that size 1 nipple for a little faster flow. The line is supposed to help with the amount of air that baby swallows while feeding, and so far, we feel like the babies have done well with these!

Bottle Washer/Sterilizer/Dryer: No more stirring bottles around in boiling water! Grannas are having too much fun to have to spend time doing that! They have a wonderful appliance that does it all for you from MomCozy. The kids have one too, and it's a big help in the middle of the night to wash bottles and breast pump parts easily. If you don't have room for the MomCozy one, I use the Dr. Brown's sterilizer and dryer and it doesn't take up that much room--but you need to wash your bottles (dishwasher or by hand, depending on your bottle brand) first.

Bottle warmer: I have a different one from my kids, so I will give you the link to both: Very nice at night to warm bottles instead of having to wait for the faucet water to get hot and then warm the bottle under the tap! You might luck out and have a baby who doesn't even care if it gets warm or not--one of mine is like that.
